The affirming intro is followed by “Good kid mad Titi,” and the Nine tracker project is all packed in finesse and excellent lyrical content. ‘Ba Karya’ which easily is the most addicting song on the project is fueled by an indigenous verse from Maisty and super twelve bars from y2thajay, Flexxyjay delivery is appreciated, and the E.P drops off an ample teaser for what’s to come next year 2019.

DJ Khaled’s Father Of Asahd was ultimately pushed back to 2019, presumably so that the mogul could amass an even deeper repertoire of talent. Though Khaled has never failed to top the charts, his Grateful album was somewhat of a critical misstep, despite massive singles like “Wild Thoughts” and “I’m On One.” It stands to reason that Khaled stepped back to the drawing board, and reached out to some of the homies. As it happens, Meek Mill found himself on the receiving end of a Khaled reach-out, an interaction that eventually culminated in a reportedly productive session.

“Great session wit @meekmill great vibes,” writes Khaled, on IG. “FATHER OF ASAHD 2019! When you make GREAT MUSIC the vibes is always right !” Amicable relationship, it’s no surprise that Meek and Khaled ultimately linked up, given the former’s current hot-streak and general popularity.

In fact, Meek previously cited Khaled as a point of inspiration, toying with the ideaof using his motivation speech as a ringtone of sorts. Though a noble gesture, one has to wonder about the long-term mental health benefits of hearing Khaled’s uplifting words multiple times a day. In any case, expect big things from Meek and Khaled in the near future, whenever Father Of Asahd ultimately hits the streets.

The last week has been a busy one for DJ Khaled in terms of prepping his upcoming album, Father of Asahd. Named for his son, Khaled’s next album will be the latest in his attempts to throw as many of the hottest artists onto the same compilation tape. With “Top Off” serving as the lead single, there should be more where that came from as the mega-producer and DJ has teased countless other collabs. Just yesterday, he excitedly exclaimed that the Justin Bieber vocals had come in, hinting at another smash the caliber of “I’m The One.” Clearly, the hitmaker can’t wait for everybody to hear his new music and he continued teasing the upcoming album with a clip of him hitting some dance moves in the studio

James Blake – Assume Form Album (Zip Download)

James Blake has announced a release date for his new album Assume Form.

The record is due out next Friday, January 18 on Republic Records. The singer, songwriter, and producer has also shared the tracklist for the album, which features guest turns from André 3000, Travis Scott, Metro Boomin, Rosalía, and Moses Sumney.

Blake recently posted a snippet of new music to his website for the album. Since his last album, 2016’s The Color in Everything, Blake has released the singles “Don’t Miss It,” which is automatically downloadable with preorders of Assume Form, and “If the Car Beside You Moves Ahead.” This past December, he previewed a snippet of new music featuring André 3000 during a DJ set. Blake also released a piece of instrumental music with the Outkast rapper last year.

Blake will embark on a North American tour in mid-February. Check out the Assume Form tracklist, which was previously leaked, below.

YNW Melly – We All Shine Album (Zip Download)

YNW Melly is ready to shine in 2019.

On Monday (Jan. 7), the talented Florida artist announced the release date for his next project called We All Shine. The project, which is a follow-up to his 2018 release I Am You, will arrive at digital stores on Jan. 18.
The 19-year-old rapper has been steady on his grind. Last year, videos for “Murder on My Mind,” “Melly the Menace” and “Virtual” has garnered over 165 million views on YouTube.

In addition to release his new album, the “Till the End” artist will also embark on a North American trek to promote the project. The “We All Shine” tour kicks off in Atlanta on Jan. 27 and will hit major cities like Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia and Miami before wrapping it up in Orlando, Fla., on Feb. 21.
Hopefull, YNW Melly will stay out of trouble before his album release. Last week, the South Florida native was arrested on two misdemeanor drug charges. Despite his arrest, YNW says he’s ready to shine in the rap game.
“I’m every single one of yo’ [favorite] rappers in one [and] I’m not making the mistakes they made. How the fuck you ain’t gon’ like me?” he told XXL in 2018.

Hndrxx has been teasing snippets off the 20-track album via Twitter, starting with the opener “Never Stop.” In addition to production from Wheezy, 808, and Southside, The WIZRD features collaborations with Travis Scott (“First Off”) and Young Thug and Gunna (“Unicorn Purp”).

In an interview with The FADER, Future opened up about his “Wizard” persona, a name given to him by his late friend OG Double D.

“It’s probably one of those personas that resonates towards me. It just sit with me more, and it define me in a lot of ways,” he said. “It was just like me continuing his legacy of him even believing in me.”

The WIZRD also represents the beginning of a new chapter in his career and a shift from the darkness of his previous projects. “I created off negativity. It always fuel my fire,” said Future. “I just feed into it, and that’s where I get my best ideas from, by making something negative and turning it into my positive, by making music from it and having success from it. But the burden becomes I gotta keep living this way and keep living every line, every day. And it’s just like that’s not who I am anymore.”

After debuting the new collaborative track ‘Mile High’ featuring rapper Travis Scott and Metro Boomin on Zane Lowe’s Beats1 show earlier this morning, electronic vocalist and producer James Blake shares another new single ‘Lullaby For My Insomniac’, off his highly anticipated album Assume Form out today (18 January).

While ‘Mile High’ represents the more hip-hop leanings on the album, ‘Lullaby For My Insomniac’ leans more towards the moody, atmospheric landscape that Blake is best known for.

The multiple Grammy award-nominee and Mercury Prize winner has spent most of his career operating in a solo space, creating lush environments that he alone occupies, but in the past few years, he’s found his voice through collaboration, working with a slew of hip-hop heavy hitters and continues this trend on Assume Form.

The new project, which is a follow-up to 2017’s Members Only Vol. 3,  checks in at a hefty 24 songs and, as Members Only’s Kid Trunks told XXL, the project features a ton of X. At the time, Trunks spoke on just how the crew were able to make X such a significant part of a project that was almost entirely constructed after the late rapper’s untimely death.

“We just know our formula,” Trunks shared. “Like, our group has a little formula. It’s a good formula, and we know it.”

The formula is one that shines throughout the new project, which finds group members like X, Kid Trunks, Craig Xen, Killstation, Coolie Cut, Bass Santana, Flyboy Tarantino, Tankhead and Kin$oul unloading all sorts of different flows over hard-hitting beats. X chips on the melodic end, too.

Boogie – Everythings For Sale Album (Zip Download)

After buzzing on the radar for some time, Compton rapper Boogie is set to release his debut album Everything’s For Sale on Jan. 25th.

Boogie had unveiled the release date for the project earlier this month, which will mark his first drop under Eminem’s Shady Records. The rapper has revealed the official tracklist today and as expected, the boss Eminem makes a guest appearance on track #8, ‘Rainy Days’. Other guests include 6LACK, J.I.D. and Snoh Aalegra.
